Class Levels ...

​

​Combination Classes                               
For students ages 3-6. This class consists of tap,ballet, and tumbling. This class will perform two dances at the recital.   Attire: Black jazz shoes, leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes 
 

Jazz/Lyrical Classes       
For students ages 7 and older. This class focuses on jazz & lyrical dancing including flexibility,strength and proper dance technique. They will perfom two dances in the recital.    Attire: boy shorts/black or pink sofie shorts with form fitted tops,Leotards, black jazz shoes.  Ask director for lyrical shoe type preferred. 



Contemporary Classes

For students ages 7 and older. This class focuses on mondern,jazz,lyrical and classical ballet. They will perform one dance in the recital.   Attire: Leotard, tights, ballet shoes, ask director for lyrical type preferred. 



​Tap Classes 
For students 7 and older. Students will be taught rhythms, timing, and leg/foot combinations done to various types of music.   Attire: Leotards, tights and black tap shoes. 



​Hip-Hop Classes
For students 7 years and older. This class will teach "street style" type of dances moves. This is a fun class. They will perfom one dance in the recital.   Attire: Hip hop style clothes, or clothes comfy to move in. Hip-Hop style shoes, ask director first! on hip-hop shoes do to flooring.



​Baton Twirling
For students ages 5 and older. This class will teach handling of the baton to create visual images, patterns, executed with smoothness, fluidity and the speed both close in and around the body, and by releasing the baton into the air. They will perfom one dance in the recital.   Attire: Leotard, boy shorts, form fitted top, jazz shoes. â€‹



Pre-Drill
For students going into the high school wanting to tryout for schools dance team. This class will prepare students to audition for thier high school dance/drill team. Students will work on stretch techniques, flexibility, turns, leaps, and will learn many types of dances to benefit students for tryouts. Class will also provide training for officer tryouts in interview, notebook and choreography training. Students who make thier high school dance/drill team as an officer will have the opportunity to choreograph one dance for recital   Attire: Will depend on in director planned lesson pertaing to class, please ask instructor before class. 



​Class Rules:

All Students need to come to class with the appropriate attire each week. Hair must be out of face, If long hair needs to be secured in a pony tail, bun or braid. Dance shoes and clothing may be purchased either through the studio or director can give you references to stores that sell dancewear items. Please check with director before purchasing footwear. All students are to be respectable in class, and to director/teacher and are to remain attentive to class at all times.
